Australia Tri Nations Rugby Union 2012

Arguably one of the biggest names in International Rugby, Australia has long been the one team that every other nation wants to beat. The Wallabies enjoyed an era of great success during the 90's and early part of the new millennium, winning the Rugby World Cup twice in 1991 and 1999, back to back Tri Nations successes in 2000 and 2001 and defeating New Zealand in the Bledisloe Cup five years running between 1998 and 2002. However, in recent years things haven't been so successful with New Zealand's dominance overshadowing the Wallabies previous glories.

Having been knocked out of the 2007 Rugby World Cup at the Quarter Final stages to old foes England, Australia have been looking towards building a good young team towards 2011. They have put togethyer a fantastic young back line with the likes of young James O'Connor really making that all important breakthrough. They are not as strong in the pack though as England exposed recently and that will be an area of concern for them through the Tri-Nations.

As a new dawn arises on Australian rugby, players and fans alike are sure to be looking towards the 2012 Tri Nations Championship as being an opportunity to recapture the type of form shown in the early part of the decade, laying the foundations for the road back to Southern Hemisphere and International dominance.
